Slight embuggerance on the login screen for CP

Someone who is still running DP might correct me on this, but when I was on DP, I don't remember having to press space and then start typing my password. My password happens to begin with a capital letter. If I remember correctly, on DP, pressing shift would clear the lock screen and set me up for the capital letter. However, in CP, when I press shift key, it doesn't seem to register the first letter when I type in my password UNLESS I pressed space first to clear the lock screen.

I don't know if anyone here could change this in the Release Candidate, but I would prefer it if when I press a key to enter the first letter of my password, that it automatically remove the lock on the screen AND register the letter...
