    Spellcheck - FEATURE_SPELLCHECKING not availble


    Hi,

    FEATURE_SPELLCHECKING not exist in my computer

    Hello Danies, and welcome to Eight Forums.

    That article was for IE9 and older versions.

    In Windows 8, spell checking is now integrated.

    From your bottom screenshot, highlight misspelled words is turned on since the text is underlined with a jagged red line.

    If you scroll down on the right side of your top screenshot, do you have a Spelling section like under step 6 of OPTION ONE in the tutorial below?

    If you have IE10, did you check this below as well?

    Ah, ok. It shows that it's turned on.

    Unfortunately, it will not always autocorrect every misspelled word if it can't recognize what it should be, but will underline it if the word is not in it's dictionary.

    Can you give illegal input and legal input and I will check it in my side ?
    How does it correct the illegal input ? what should I do ?

    Not sure what you mean.

    If spell checker recognizes the misspelled word against it's dictionary, then it will automatically correct the spelling.

    If it doesn't, then then the misspelled word will just be underlined to let you know that you will need to manually correct it.
