So I turn on the laptop this morning after using it last night
I can log into my account but then the apps window flashes and flashes and I can't do anything

It looks like it's gone back to factory settings as it's very basic looking
Someone suggested it may be stuck in a temporary account
How do I fix this?
I urgently need my laptop to keep organising my playlists for our wedding in three weeks
Please please please help me

Go into recovery and choice a recovery point then attempt to recover. If that fails then go into PC Settings and attempt a Refresh. Prior to doing either one of those ensure you save all your work and files to a external backup drive. Failing those two methods then may have to do a reinstall. . .Good luck, and BTW Welcome to The Eight Forums. . .

Unfortunately as I cannot get anywhere other than the sign in screen I can't do anything you have suggested.

I have succumbed in paying someone to fix it for me as I urgently need the laptop back to get on with life...
