    Been struggling with this for quite a while now.

    (Sorry if i posted this in the wrong *area*)

    Right click on the "Desktop" icon and choose "properties"
    in the "Icon" tab at the top of the popup box, what does it say in the "Target" box?

    Try this

    Go to C:/users/windows/
    Drag the desktop folder on the right to the "Favorites"

    But now theres still the "Recent Places" problem...

    Try this

    Right Click on the Favorites Folder Icon (The one with the star)
    Choose "Restore Favorite links"
