Storage spaces not writing data equally

Personally I would do matching drives on a NAS in RAID format. Storage Spaces is still considered a beta product at this time. So use at your own risk.

I'm thinking of moving over to flexraid due to the fact it looks like storagespaces doesn't do drive balancing which is key for a mixture of drives.

I have noticed that also, when I started to read up on Storage Spaces, when they wrote up how it would work. It works best with Server 2k12, but on a stand alone workstation, you run into problems.

Flexraid though, you may run into issues also. It is half of one, two of another.
