IF all you did was remove the partitions using GParted, you might be able to get them back.

I believe that the Minitool Partition Wizard Boot CD provides the feature of recovering partitions. You would have to use another PC to download the ISO and burn a CD, boot this PC from that CD, and see if it offers that feature.

I think that AOMEI also has that feature, but I haven't used it, so I don't know.

Other than recovering the partitions, if you can't do a system reset using the recovery partition, you may have to buy a copy of Win8.

Have you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

    information   Information

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD. (Windows 8 only)
Recovery Drive - Create with USB Flash Drive in Windows 8
System Repair Disc - Create in Windows 8 (Windows 8 only)

i somehow wasn't paying attention and deleted everything except the recovery partition and D: drive
Why did you delete the partitions?

Try the ASUS hot key Recovery key, which is F9.

A bit of courage, check the cost.
You can order the Microsoft official OEM Recovery disks from the ASUS OEM manufacturer's website.
