It's only frustrating if you don't try and conquer something different. You will then understand the benefits. It's still in it's infancy, there are some bugs but that's normal in any new product. So guys, give us a break and stick with Windows 7 and not rubbish out of hand.

    Have a nice day

Hi Harry, welcome to Eight Forums.

I'm using it as my main OS, it gets easier after you use it for a little while.

Metro looks good, but it is so restricted. I feel like I'm using an Apple device that is a "walled garden." I guess we will see if someone jailbreaks Metro...

It was announced yesterday that the final version of Windows 8 will not include Windows Media Center. Even if you upgrade from 7, Media Center will disappear. People who want it will have to buy it.

I think it is a matter of getting organized a bit differently. First decision you'll have to make is whether you will mainly work off the start screen or off the desktop. Everything thereafter will flow from there.

My 64 bit Windows 8 is running real well. I'm running it on a 2nd HDD I have in my Acer ROG Laptop. I installed Win 8 Metro UI Switcher and it goes well. I'm impressed but I do hope MS do something about the Start button on the final release.

Glenn and Dave, you've both got it right. This is a great system, and it isn't gong to fail. It does take some getting used to, but it's worth it.

Windows 8 work not so bad if you have a single monitor, if you use a multi monitors system, it's a little bit tricky to catch the side of the screen to open the charm or the start page. On VM with VMware WorkStation it's about the same. You can of course learn to use short cut keys; but with Hyper-V and Remote Desktop, well it's an EPIC FAIL, the Windows key don't work, for that reason, many shortcut keys don't work, what a mess. That's funny, because Microsoft include Hyper-V with Windows 8 to compete VMware, but they Handicap it by making the Windows key useless. If it was only of Windows 8, but all their new servers they will be release with the Metro Dashboard Page, will also handicap with this Windows Key problem. Wake up Microsoft , we don't run Servers and Hyper-V on touch screen.
