Again make it more user friendly to the average business user giving them an option to go Classic windows 7. Then I see no problems

Personal opinion here - If I.T. departments create their image to deploy company-wide well, with a functional start menu for their workers, there will be little issue.

It probably all depends on how the worker new to the environment is first presented with things.

It's all just speculation on my part. I don't work in I.T. and never have at all, besides a week long monitor installing job for the Department of Defense long ago.

Ummm the fact that you have to muddle through the OS to find one of your document you created or saved especially if you have not a clue where to find them
    Robin

If you have no clue where you saved a document, you will have difficulties finding it in any system - that is not Win8 specific. It is back to the search - if you know the name. In contrast, you can pin documents to the Win8 start menu which you cannot do with the old start menu.

Any real problems? All I see you posting is a lot of motherhood statements.

Robin, you have a good point there. If you simply hit the Windows key, it reverts to the classic desktop. The Win 8 Preview easily accepts Win 7 themes and gadgets, and various people are installing anti-malware and other programs designed for Win 7 with few problems.

i some what agree with win8 being a flop, i think the start menu is a good idea but aside from that nothing else changed so to me its a cop out, and if they charge alot for win8 when it comes out i will be mad. having said that i do like win8.

Right-click is an underestimated tool and Win 8 uses it a lot.

I think the idea of a business creating a custom start screen for distribution is a great idea and helps to standardise the setup and reduce training requirements. Win 8 is ideal for businesses as a lot of the windows gubbins can be hidden from prying fingers.

They should fire the Win8 Project head. This thing is pure design fail. When I needed to Google just to figure out where the settings and where to configure my mail account settings then the design is completely garbage.

Who designed this annoying tile puzzle UI?

Been using Windows almost all my life and have never seen a MS OS that runs so well architecturally but fail so hard in the UI design level.
