I havent even heard of any of these sites, I have been to a very well known huge Windows site and the overwhelming majority were in favor of Windows 8. Also a lot of Mac users use Windows and a lot of them are trying Windows 8, and guess what they like it.

HardOCP as 160,000 members, Xtreme Systems: 120,000 members, if you own a Dell, it's normal you don't know. Eggxpert is the forum of NewEgg , 120,000 members, Asus ROG; well it's for Asus high end product. Hardware Canucks, is where Canadiens go read their reviews.

    In other news:
It's not really necessary to visit third-party sites to get a feel for the general disdain people have for the 'Windows Reimagined' [sic] just read Building Windows 8

I build my own systems , no wonder I dont know these sites. The site I'm referring to is full of professionals, Developers,Programmers and business types. I admit a few business types arent real thrilled with Windows 8, but for the rest, the feelings are mainly positive.

I dont really need to go to any more sites as I know what the majority of people think about Windows 8 already, but hey there are always a lot of people that are not going to like it.

The main problem is going to be businesses, but they never even went over to Windows 7 either, so tell me whats wrong with Windows 7.

There's nothing wrong with it but unless a business can see viable benefits then they are not going to ditch something that works fine for them simply because MS has introduced something new. The same will go for most consumers. If you like Win8 then fine - go for it. If you don't then stay with what you've already got.

I've been reading this thread since day one and most folks are polarised over this. All we can do is see what happens once Win8 is released. IMO it will either be an outstanding success or a total failure.

No need to get all excited guys. Let's say:" It will grow on us".

Businesses is another matter. If they have a lot of programs that will not run, they will stay on XP until doomsday. Even a golden OS would not make them move.
