I would love to open with, Mr Brink...you have helped me immensely.
I have a lot of problems with my Toshiba Laptop p875 s7310. I see that I am a client...on my own computer. Unknown process running. crashes, slow performance, I don't know if I have developer stuff running. My partner is a geek and tinkers with everything...he's a whiz...and sometimes not. Sometimes his brilliance is to my demise...not that its intent is cruel...I have run sfc, dism, I have even tried 3rd party system help. I cant tell you how many times I have refreshed etc...
I guess I am asking if anyone in the tech field has a bit of time...I would be grateful. I am a bit under an umbrella so to speak...I am a public figure and often speak out against political crimes that hurt people....just to let you know incase you dislike that...I keep that out of relationships. I am soon to be working again on a tv series. I got out of Beverly Hills alive...and now they want me back...after all these years. So, that's me and my plea. If I wasn't so broke I would turn elsewhere but, I trust people from this site more than the insurance I paid a fortune for.

Thank you,
J
Adam;)

Greetings Adam, Welcome to EightForums. :)

I have reviewed your post and would like to offer some recommendations. To start, I can see based on the information you've provided that your laptop is a Toshiba Satellite P875-S7310. This is information is very helpful to anyone who would like to look at the specifics of your machine. Now, onto some repairs..

Toshiba has included several software titles which are more or less unnecessary. I suggest you remove them.

1) TOSHIBA eco Utility
2) TOSHIBA PC Health Monitor
3) TOSHIBA Service Station
4) TOSHIBA Sleep Utility
5) Norton Laptop Checkup
6) Norton Anti-Virus 2013
7) Norton Anti-Theft
8) Norton Online Backup
9) WildTangent Games Console

The above utilities are either contributing to slow performance or already included with Windows 8.

Next, it's important to keep all your drivers up-to-date. According to Toshiba this model was released back in July, 2012. If you haven't updated any of the drivers you will most certainly run into trouble should you decide to upgrade to Windows 8.1

This list contains the most important and most frequently used drivers. For a full list, visit - Satellite P875-S7310 Support | Toshiba

Once you've completed some of the items listed we can move on.

**Note: Depending on how severe the error's your receiving are, it might be a good idea to refresh the system first.

^^^ IMO, Keep TOSHIBA Service Station and run it regularly. Easy & reliable way to get model-relevant updates. Example in attachment.
