Even after reviews: windows cannot find.. shell:sendto

Dear Members,

i've been extensively searching all over the Web a solution to this problem, recurrent and unfortunately even after having tried many attempts, I am facing a wall and constant reply:


Win+ R / run / shell:sendto

==> cannot be found..etc..

However the location is well defined at:

C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo


but, here again, no solution for having any opportunity to send files by brwsing locations..folders ...etc..

I noticed this recurrent problem all over, but today I must admit that I cannot sort it out!

2- having opportunities to save files where I would like

( permissions of administrator? I am all alone with password for entering the PC , is Users only way?)

Besides a complete reinstall (or repair install),

To clarify, you are only attempting to use the send to function? Try this. Create a text document on your desktop. RIGHT-click it and see if send to is available. Does your screen match mine?:

Well, I've been trying this too last week and no result.

Hopefully, I found..ultimately the result and here it the crossing point leading to a simple problem regarding " Send To "

C ==> Users { here is the error if you compare your location as a User, you must consider which pathway is YOURS and copy the " Send To " folder to your desired location.

then shell:sendto works

and you can access to the whole ( however reduced ) choices for sending files, as clearly shown in your attached picture!

Will you note too that having two choices for Users lead to two registers with same characteristics on keys.

Now next step: how to add a browser for searching and sending your file to a chosen location via this " Send To " folder ?

On my laptop, the SendTo folder is under (my user name)/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/SendTo.
Use File Explorer to display this folder. You can then copy a shortcut to your browser into the SendTo folder & you can use the browser by right-clicking a file and selecting SendTo, then your browser.
