Remove Windows 8.1 Enterprise (Build 9600) - Watermark

    Hello,

How can I remove the Windows 8.1 Enterprise Watermark on my laptop?

On the right bottom side this is what Windows 8.1 says.

    "Windows 8.1 Enterprise Evaluation
Windows License Valid for 90 days
    Build 9600"

Many thanks, I run Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64 bits.

I guess you have to buy retail win8.1,instead of using an evaluation copy

I think one is for evaluation[Free for 90 days] only, the other is not for evaluation ,it for you to use as long as you own the computer .
also Win8 enterprise is only sold in Volume Licence, that the way businesses by windows, you would or I would likely just purchase win8.1 or win8.1 pro

You're right my friend, I need to activate it.
But I removed the Watermark with Resource Hacker.

    I'm amazing!

    Thanks man!

The short answer is. One is Legal to continue to use and the other is NOT!
It's possible to remove the watermark, but that in no way Legalizes the OS and it will still go dead at the end of the Evaluation Period.

    Why did you think otherwise?

It's expires about 90 days, than I can simple re-activate it again for 90 days, and then Install Windows 8.2
    So no problem.

Microsoft isn't that stupid. It has your mac address amongst other things. The only way for you to achieve doing this would be to find a reverse engineered work around, which would mean breaking TOS, the law and constitute Piracy.

Heres a thought, buy a license.
