    remove every thing and re-install windows or refresh ?


    hello
    my dad asked me to install autocad 2014 on my laptop
    but unfortunately it didn't work for some reason but this is n't the problem
    after installing autocad my laptop became very very slow
    windows explorer keeps crashing , mouse cursor lags very frequently , almost every thing became slower even opening a project in photoshop takes too much time
    i just want to get rid of all programs and get a fresh windows
    what should i do
    refresh pc or remove every thing ??
    and wil it ask me to enter a serial number or a product key ?

    Do you have a restore point prior to installing autocad? You could restore to there.

    If you refresh it won't ask for a key but it will take you back to windows 8 unless you made a custom refresh point after upgrading.

    well the only thing is that your apps from windows store will be kept. makes no difference though. its better if u go for a clean install. but i'm not guarenteeing ur license. if there are any other doubts feel free to post !

    what's the difference between it and refresh

    Both will reset your PC back to windows 8. Both will remove any programs you have installed.

    Refresh will keep your documents and files etc and your store apps, remove all will not keep this.

    Pretty much as it says on the description below

I want to make screenshot to make a tutorial of how to download and use certain programs. If the program is already downloaded could that be problematic? Would it be better to do it on a blank new user account?
If its an upgrade, all programs still installed, I'll do it. If its a refresh probably not (yes it keeps the installed apps but that's not any help.) If its a complete reinstall, no way. Anyone know what the plan is?
I need to completely remove an OEM version of Windows 8 and install a new version of Windows 7 provided by Microsoft. I am not allowed to install Win7 because the Win8 partitions are protected. Suggestions?
win 8 won't let me no matter what I try to do to remove folders from the win8 install. Old install folder. I can't remove the regedit file from it. I think I have to boot Linux and mount a drive to do what I need. What can I do to fix this besides linux. Format and go back to windows 7?
