Hello all,

I tried to put my computer in safe mode through system configuration and when I rebooted the computer will not start. It simply does nothing, I hear the HD start to work and the light flashes but nothing, it doesn't show anything on the monitor. I do not have a system restore disk either so if anyone can help me solve this annoying issue I would be very grateful.

thanks,
Doug.

You could order recovery disks from the manufacturer. :)

One of the best things I ever did was to buy the recovery disks.
I've used them twice.
They saved me a lot of hassle. :)

What a moron

David,

I was about to order the discs when I thought to myself even though it would be a rarity and a coincidence, what if my video card went out at the same time as I tried to boot into safe mode so I plugged my HDMI cable from my video card to the on-board video adapter and wouldn't you know it, it's solved. I am however puting the files onto a thumb drive so that I can start the damned thing should it really take a crap.

Thanks again David,
best regards,
Doug.

Glad you got it fixed. :)

{If you think I deserve it, a rep would be greatly appreciated.}
