Repairing disk errors loop

So after a good use and left my computer to sit, I come back to a black screen with a backlight, I'm using a Lenovo thinkpad v400 laptop and then after a forced shutdown by holding the power button and turning it back on, it comes to a boot loop, and then after it comes back to a black screen with the backlight still on, then right after I forced a shutdown and then turn it back on and the same thing happens, then I restart again and it comes up this time with diagnosing your PC and I'm relieved then it comes to repairing disk errors loop and it's been like this for hours now.

Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.

Do you have a restore point back to before this problem started & can you get a command prompt ?

If you can get a command prompt & you have such a restore point, Type in rstrui.exe & press Enter & system restore will appear.

Should I force another shutdown and hopefully bring me back to that boot up loop?

Brings it back to the entire process again, from diagnosing my pc

Did you make recovery disks ?

or buy them from the factory ?

I suggest a reinstall.
