My only other suggestion would be to update the BIOS from Windows then try again.

I just tried that again. The PC just sits there until I have to power it down. I then rebooted with disk in. The PC boots directly to my display. There are NO splash screens from boot to display.
All 3rd party software, bootable CD/DVD/USB disks, which fully supports Windows 8/8.1, uEFI, GPT & Secure Boot.
Which is signed by Microsoft, will boot with Secure Boot ENABLED.

What software, bootable CD/DVD/USB disks are trying to boot?

    GARU,

When I bought the computer 2 months ago it came with Windows 8 preinstalled. I was informed while registering the computer that I would need to download the reinstallation software and opened a link to allow me to do so. These new computers do not come with reinstallation disks.

About the disks, Dell said I would need these if the system crashed. It took 4 DVDs. That explanation I gave about how I acquired the reinstallation disk was meant for "Garu"

Hallo, After creating a UEFI bootable USB thumb drive with Rufus (using Windows 8.1 Enterprise ISO x64), for a Dell Optiplex 3010 (configured as UEFI only, no CSM, latest firmware version, Windows 8 installed), I didn't see a USB boot option, so I tried to add one manually. Unfortunately I...
Hi Shawn, Your tutorials are great! I'm very frustrated. I'm trying to boot Windows 8.1 from DVD (for Nero backitup.) I can get to the advanced settings option and even to the UEFI option. Once I get tothe UEFI restart the computer shuts down and then just sits there - power light on - but...
Hi guys. Not sure if this is the right place for this, but here goes. I have Kubuntu 13.10 and Windows 8.1 installed on separate drives on my computer. Dual-booting through the Linux bootloader works fine, as in I can boot either Win8.1 or Linux without incident. However, whenever I boot...
