Toshiba I have found, has a better rep for their units, then Dell or Asus. Go with what your pocket book can afford. You can always add more RAM, swap out the platter drive for a SSD, and change out the wifi mini-card. Especially on the Toshiba's, since they do not black list wifi mini-cards in the bios.

I would check out the Notebook Review forum. Lots of good reviews and other information on notebooks. If I were buying a new notebook that is where I would start my research.

I love my Asus but I wouldn't recommend a gaming Asus to anyone that isn't at least some what techy, Asus tech support sucks, but we have the ROG forums to solve are problems.

its hard to say what to buy by brand name ,because they all have some bad models , I had a Toshiba that the motherboard died with out warning after less than 4 years use , and I have owned a few Dells that worked great and were 6-8 years old ,

I agree with Ectechs choice ,I would like to own that laptop
