Computer won't reboot after fresh install

So my computer came with Windows 8.1 64 Core, I downgraded to Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit with a disc I had and then upgraded to 8.1 Pro. I have all my current drivers installed and the latest Windows updates, since I did this though when I tell the computer to reboot it will start to reboot and when the screen goes black it never comes back up. The power button is lit up as if the computer is on but the screen is still off. I can shutdown and then power up just fine I am just having problems with the "reboot". Any help appreciated.

Check bios settings about power on after off, or power on after power lost, or things similar along those lines.

If you have more than one monitor (or tv too) - test with only main monitor attached.

Install latest video driver from Intel.com if you didn't specifically install from there yet.

I see everyone on here talk about "fast boot" or "hybrid shutdown" and stuff. I don't know much about it since I don't use 8, but perhaps try disabling that if you still need to try something. I think the actual method that you use to power off or reboot is significant here and there are differences.

I have unhooked my second monitor and problem remains.

I checked I have the latest intel chipset and graphic drivers installed.

Now I am just trying to gain access to my bios, with the hybrid boot it makes it hard cause the machines never truly shuts down which means I am not prompted with which keys to hit to access the bios. According to what I found on Lenovo.com I am suppose to hold down "Shift" when I tell the computer to shut it down so I can get prompted with access to the bios but so far no luck. So if anyone has another way to get into the bios I would appreciate it, I am still searching myself.

Because my Product Key was not working even when I called in, so I called Microsoft and they claimed because I was running 8.1 and my product key is for 8 Pro it is considered a downgrade and said it would only be possible through fresh install.

IMO I would reinstall the OEM Windows 8.1 Core, with the OEM manufacturer's Recovery DVD's or USB drive.(As we know this install will work.)

Then upgrade to Windows 8.1 Pro, using Add Features to Windows 8 with Windows 8 Pro key.

Are you sure that would work as Microsoft told me that would be inpossible? Now I would do this from the recovery drive correct? How would I do this since I have always just done fresh install from disc?

imo.it would only work if you acquire a win8.1pro .
I would start over and install your 8 pro ,and then upgrade it to win8.1 via the store

Yes, I am sure details in your other thread using a Windows 8 Pro key. (not a Windows 8.1 Pro key)
Windows 8 Pro license transfer a new Windows 8.1 computer?

As this is a OEM manufacturer's PC with Pre-installed Windows 8.1, no need to install Windows 8 first.

I discovered the problem, I accidentally installed the "Lenovo Power Management" driver. This driver has only been built for Windows 8, right when I was about to reinstall the original OEM 8.1 my action center popped up saying there was compatibility issues. It was saying there was a problem with the "Lenovo Power Management Driver", I went to Lenovo's website and saw this was only for Windows 8, which would explain why I didn't notice the reboot problem until I upgraded to 8.1. I just removed it and Reboot seems to be working just fine now. Sorry about that since I should have checked on this before hand.
