Copy Multiple Explorer Folder names to Word or Excel
Hello Everyone,
I have a bunch of folders in the File Explorer that I would like to copy the names to a word or excel document instead of retyping them individually. Is there a way to do that?
Thank you for your help.

Select the folders then hold down Shift while right clicking the mouse. Click "copy as path." When you paste you will get the folder names one per line. They will be wrapped in double quotes like:
"C:\Source"
"C:\AeroGlass"
"C:\AMD"
"C:\Bookmarks"
"C:\boot"
"C:\Docs"

A "bunch of folders" is different than "folders and subfolders" so I have to wonder what you mean by "names." Perhaps if you typed in what you want the result to look like that will make things unambiguous.

Change Directory (cd) in Command Prompt to the right folder and type dir /b . To get all files recursively type dir /b /s .
To save all names to a text file: dir /b > list.txt and/or dir /b /s > allfilelist.txt ( *.txt is saved in the current folder where the command runs).
Good luck.
