Hello All,

New guy here. Perhaps one of you kind folks can lead me by the hand and solve this. I have a new Dell laptop w/Windows 8 - 64 bit system. I installed my old printer (Dellv313w Inkjet) with updated drivers last week. It worked fine for a couple of days. Now I'm getting the message "nothing can be sent from the desktop" in devices. Can you help? And if you please, can you reply as if you're talking to an 8 year old ? For the life of me I cannot grasp the jargon of computers.

Many thanks !!

The easiest thing to try is uninstall it. Then install the printer again. Maybe something weird happened. If it keeps going sour you'll have to analyze the cause. But there's a chance it may install and run correctly for quite some time.

Or if you have a Restore Point from before the problem that may fix it. But reinstall should be no big deal especially if it's not on a network.

Edit: Hold everything. :) Read this thread first: http://www.eightforums.com/drivers-hardware/18520-nothing-can-sent-desktop.html
