    Editing "All Apps" Screen

In Windows 7, obviously you could just pop open the start menu and right click to delete shortcut items or drag-and-drop them.

In Windows 8, is there an easy way within the new interface to edit the items showing on the "All Apps" screen of the start menu? I can't seem to find it.

    Thanks!

Hi Brink... thanks for the reply. The tutorial you linked, unless I am missing something, seems to show how to unpin them from the start menu, which I already know how to do.

I'm interested in removing them from the All Apps screen (that you would access from the start menu by right clicking on empty space and selecting "All Apps".

This "All Apps" screen seems to be the converted complete Windows 7 start menu, and I want to remove some things, such as shortcuts to read-me files, etc...

Yep, you should be able to remove any shortcut from the location at step 2C in the tutorial above for the "Apps" screen (All Programs in Windows 7 and Vista).

Ok, thanks... I figured I was going to have to go into the actual folder, but I was hoping they had added some way to do it through the new interface. That does solve the problem for me though... thanks for the reply! I appreciate it!

    You're welcome mate.

If there is, it's hidden well and hasn't been found yet.
