Removing an extra SkyDrive folder.

I have an extra SkyDrive folder that has shown up as a sub folder of Documents:

C:\Users\Eric\Documents\SkyDrive

It synchronizes in both locations, one at the root tree of explorer and one in the Documents folder however in this case I only want one SkyDrive folder not two. Is there a way to remove the one that exists here:

C:\Users\Eric\Documents\SkyDrive

You have the same path for both locations. Please go ahead and post a screenshot showing both locations to see what it may be.

Here is the screenshot as you requested.

It looks like you may have moved the SkyDrive folder to this location by mistake.

Right click on the SkyDrive folder in your screenshot above, click on the Location tab (if available), and see what path it shows.

Next, go to your "C:\Users\(user-name)\SkyDrive" folder, right click on it, and click on it's Location tab to see what path it shows.

Post back with what paths they both show, and if they are the same.

If I remember correctly I installed the desktop SkyDrive application on Windows 8. Then later when I updated to Windows 8.1 which includes SkyDrive by default I got the extra folder. That's how I remember things...

Check to make sure that you have save your documents to SkyDrive (OneDrive) turned off to see if that may be it.

By default, the SkyDrive folder should be located at C:\Users\(User Name)\SkyDrive instead.

What do see for the location when you check the post above?

I would log on to skydrive directly and delete it there.

It doesn't appear to be a folder on SkyDrive. Instead, it looks like the local SkyDrive user folder was moved by mistake to inside the Documents folder.

Let's see what the results are from OPTION TWO above to move SkyDrive back to the default location. I'm pretty sure this may be the issue.
