HDD opening on startup

i have a portable HDD that keeps opening on startup, how can i change that from happening?

Go to Control Panel►AutoPlay and un-check 'Use AutoPlay for all media and devices'.

start with setting it to do nothing in auto play ,might help .
go to control panel /auto run
