How to delete something that doesn't exist?

Hello experts. Every time I reboot my Windows 8 machine, I get the following message.

It's a little bit crazy, because I don't have a folder called 'Conduit' on that path.

    Any thoughts anyone???

Conduit is one of those malware browser search bars. Start by making sure any browser plug-in is disabled/deleted. Then run Malwarebytes and CCleaner registry cleaner. Reboot and see how it goes.

You gotta use Task Scheduler to delete the startup routines(s).

Conduit Itself is not bad, what is bad is the toolbars that use it to exploit you, which it will. It acts as an injection point for malicious code.

I use a Conduit Toolbar I made myself, and it never causes me any problems.

You will ahe to use "Unlocker" to delete the folder, look for it on Major Geeks - Read the messages, especially the one I posted, the warning, it has Babylon added to it. Use Custom Install and then OPT OUT of Delta Toolbar.

Babylon will install "Tarma Installer" - And it will show up under Program Data folder.

But if you OPT OUT properly from the spamads in the Unlocker Installer, then you can use the Unlocker Assistant to vanquish that empty folder.

From his Link? Yah, I've used that myself. Just remember, Conduit is not the bad guy, it's the perp who made the toolbar that abuses Conduit.

Keep your eye out for "Delta Toolbar" - It may abuse Conduit to install Babylon - But basically Babylon is that "tarma Installer" I mentioned. Make sure you get ALL of the components out of your system, some of them will be in the Program Data folder.

Glad you got it dealt with, but look for "Tarma" just the same.
