Will it be available at midnight or do we really have to wait until they officially announce it at that conference?

Considering that WCP is not even being called beta, those numbers may represent beta and/or RC branches.

According to lifehacker.com "Microsoft is announcing the Windows 8 Consumer Preview (aka the beta) tomorrow morning, February 29, at 6:00 am Pacific time.'

I assume that is the time when the WCP will be made available for download.

Actually it is between 6:00am and 8:00am Pacific Time as the conference is between 3:00pm and 5:00pm in Barcelona, Spain.
