After a Windows 8.1 update, laptop won't go into Windows

I have a Dell Inspiron 3520 and I updated it from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. It worked fine but one day there was an update and I downloaded the update(didn't read to see what the update was about). And my computer restarted because that's what you normally do after an update.. And once it started it went into the windows sign in, but my account wasn't there. It had guest account but when I tried going on that account the screen would turn black and nothing would happen. I stopped using it for a day and started it back up but once it started, the Dell icon showed up like it normally would, but it would go right into automatic repair but it doesn't even fix anything. I get error codes "0xc0000001" and "0xc000014c" and my computer says there are missing or corrupt files and one of them is "winload.exe". I've tried to go into Boot manager but it wouldn't let me go there. It did at first but now it doesn't anymore. I can't Refresh or Reset my computer since Windows 8.1 doesn't have that. I don't have a recovery disc or anything because my laptop came with windows 8 already on it. So I'm basically stuck and I have no idea what to do. Please help. :(

First thing is first: Go into the bios settings and make sure that the hard drive is set as the first boot device. While there, disable any other type of booting, such as USB key etc...

Also, remove any USB keys or other external storage from the machine. Remove any disc from the optical drive, if there is one in now.

Try again.
