Updates failed; Reverting Changes

Hi folks,

I have a reoccurring problem with my laptop which perhaps you could help with.

My laptop always fails to install windows updates with the following error:
"Failure to install windows updates; reverting changes"

I took a look in my update history, as per the image below. What is interesting is that there appears to be a reoccurring problem with two particular updates which repeatedly fail:



The history of failed updates goes back way further too. KB2871690 & KB2871777 have repeatedly failed.
KB2802618 failed for while and eventually succeeded.

Can anyone give me any pointers? Microsofts Fixit didn't work, sadly.

You can try running the trouble shooter:
Windows Update: Frequently asked questions - Microsoft Windows Help

Also I would look through the list and see if any of the updates are for Windows Update itself. If so, try to run those manually.
