Hello everyone,
I am using Windows 8.1 x64 and using Paragon Partition Manager I am seeing a strange partition just after my ESP called Microsoft reserved partition. I had modified my Windows installation to use UEFI using the directions given here-:
Converting Windows BIOS installation to UEFI - TechNet Articles - United States (English) - TechNet Wiki
I don't remember creating something known as a Windows Recovery partition after my C Drive(look at image)-:
Are these recovery partitions created automatically ? I have recently upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 could this partition be created as a result of that ? I have no knowledge of creating a recovery partition so can I delete it ? Is it important ?
I also configured my Windows installation to use AHCI instead of IDE recently could this have anything to do with the partition ?
I just want to know how this partition got here in the first place if I did not create it myself. Thanks.
