Hi, I have a big problem. I have (had) a dual boot with Windows 8.1 and win7 and I was using EasyBCD to edit the boot order. Now, when I try to reboot, I get a blue screen - saying 'RECOVERY - Your PC needs to be repaired'. I have a bootable USB recovery medium for win 8 but the problem is that I can't boot to it and fix the problem because I can't access the boot menu in my BIOS. The usual F12 option to select the boot device isn't showing up no matter what I do. I read that it has something to do with Windows 8's hybrid shutdown system. Is there any way to get out of this 'hybrid shutdown' so I can once again access the boot menu? Please help!

Phew! Problem solved. Had to open up PC, disconnect main HD and then it booted straight from the USB recovery drive. Then I plugged main HD back in and went through the startup repair procedure. Sweet!:D
