Black screen ... can't install windows 8

I had been using windows 8 and everything was fine till accidentally it downloaded windows 8.1 which i did not like ... so when it was saying to me that do you want to install windows 8.1 after downloading it , i said NO . But after that , all i have is a black screen. No matter if i swich it off through the switch butto in the laptop , it stills appears as black screen. Seems like the windows 8 has been uninstalled due to the download of windows 8.1 .


Any advice on what to do ? I have also my folders which i think might have been delated after this

Any help is appreciated

Seems like a clean install or full factory recover is on sight.

True but the problem is it does not display anything ... whatever i try... i click the F2(as my laptop is vaio) and notrhing displays .... i click assist button and vaio care does not display

Pehaps the laptop switched display ports? try connecting an external monitor or a tv and see if you get any signal?

I solved it ... took off the battery... unplugged and the plugged the cable...turnon the laptop..press many times F10 ... and everything ok
