    or
    You could reinstall Windows 7.
i heard you can't install Windows 7 if your OS is Windows 8, also how do you know if disk is bootable?
Thanks for trying, I think I screwed up my bios, when upgraded to Windows 8.1. Didn't have any problems before that
    1) I take it that you upgraded from Windows 7.

    2) If the disk is bootable it will boot.

    1) no, I upgraded from 8 to 8.1

    2) well, that make sense

I'll try that, but not holding my breath

by the way, how do you do that? Do I just take it out and place it back?
What is the make/model of your PC/laptop?

If a desktop, pull the side panel off and look for a quarter sized silver battery. Usually near the bottom right side of the mobo. If you have any after market components installed..eg GPU or soun card, those might be covering up the battery area. If a laptop, start taking the panels on the bottom off. It should be under one of those.

I'm still on warranty, by the way. Do you think they'll fix it? Even though, it's totally my fault
