installed hinges and screen on laptop problems keyboard

Hi all I'm new to the forum and after reading through some of the topics I figured this is the best place get some help. So this is what happen, I just installed a new screen and hinges on a laptop, I booted it up to see if there was any other problems with the laptop and found out that half the keyboard went out and the WiFi won't work, I shut it down retraced my steps saw that everything was hooked up right turned back on now the mouse wont work on top of that. I don't know if it was problem before hand cause i was just asked to repair the screen and hinges. The computer is gateway NE56R series running windows 8. i heard updating the bios would help but i cant get in the system.

I will as why the screen and hinge needed to be replaced ??
,most obvious is was dropped or some other physical accident ,so its possible that the laptop's motherboard/ connection were damaged
I always hook them to a regular computer monitor to check that everything works before I even order a replacement screen

The guy that ask me to replace the screen and hinges said his 5 year old son kick it in by "accident" while playing ball in the house.

Because of compactness of laptops they are easy to ruin bu rough handling, kicking, dropping etc. Thin flat cables connecting components are most sensitive and a lead in them can brake easily, changing them (ones for affected components) would be my first step. Don't think that updating BIOS would repair anything in this case.

so if it is a damage motherboard whats the best course of action besides getting a motherboard tell him to get a new computer and cut my loss for the parts or charge him for the parts cause he did ask me to replace the screen and hinges.

if you removed the keyboard and other parts to get at the hinges I would recheck the connection ,if it still missfunction ,get paid for what you did ,and tell them the kick must have caused more damage that he thought

I have rechecked all the connections but every time i turn it on a new problem pops up. Trojans and viruses on the hard drive. Tried doing a clean install but the image on disk is messed up. Had it 4 months already and the guy never offers to pay so i figure i give him a chance to let me keep it for the parts, pay me for the parts or let him keep just to get out my way.
