Hello All,
I seem to be having an issue with the System UI on Windows 8.1. This is a fresh installation with only a few extras installed. Some select system UI icons have been replaced with rectangles, and is getting to be quite a nuisance. The photos point out only a few of them that show up within the System UI. It seems to be limited to the Metro UI, though that hasn't always been the case as I have had this same issue within the volume mixer before. Those rectangles disappeared when I restarted the computer, however the others persisted. Would anyone have a clue what is going on here?
EDIT: I have fixed my issue. The issue was that I had a missing system font. "Segoe UI Symbol" was corrupted on my system. All is well now!
