itunes copied into WMP? Did it move the files physically, or just add the C:\Users\(User)\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music
folder to itself?

Just open WMP and make it "Mini"

Click on Manage Libraries:

WMP Libraries.png

If you see your iTunes Library in there, click on it, then choose "Remove"

Thanks for your response, Yes ,all the songs appeared on the screen, moments after I first opened the WMP on my new Laptop. I found a way using the Alt key to delete all the songs. But moments later they all filled back onto the screen. If this description does not alter your initial instruction. Would you kindly expand on those steps you laid out, e.g where will I find the word "Mini".I am not Comp.Savvy and beg your patience.

Uh - Mini is "Skinned Mode" - Press "Ctrl + 2" and then it gets smaller and looks like how it looked in Windows 98. Before you nit that key combo, go "View -> Skin Chooser" and select "Corporate" - There is a preview of it.

Then hit Ctrl+2 and then File->Manage Libraries, edit your libraries in there, remove the iTunes Library.
