Since updating from Windows 8 to 8.1 I cannot access the second hard drive installed on my system used for back-up. This worked perfectly well under W8 and Windows backed up to this. The PC issues flag now issues messages that the drive is disconnected but it is not as it is still visible in My PC, and I have physically checked it.
It would appear to be an ownership issue. I have tried to take ownership as prescribed within these forums but this will not work. Within properties it indicates there are 0 bytes used 0 bytes available. When I try to change anything it tells me I do not have have the necessary permissions, despite the fact that I am an administrator.
See attached screenshots.
Help Please!
