Hi, it is possible to add toolbars to taskbar (like address, links, desktop etc. and new folder). It would be very handy if we could add godMode options likewise. is it possible?

The Control Panel, All Tasks, and similar items apparently resist all attempts to convert them to toolbar form. However, you can get something like it this way. Add the "Desktop" toolbar if it isn't already there (right-click taskbar > toolbars > desktop). It contains "Control Panel" which cascades to the menu-like groupings, or to "All Control Panel Items" which in turn cascades to each item, and some of them cascade even further. You just have to move the mouse and hover in three or four places to reach the item you want. Just about everything in your system can be reached from that Desktop toolbar, including Recycle Bin, Libraries, Network, your User folder, and all drives, plus everything on your Desktop. And every folder in it will cascade through whatever chains of subfolders it may have.

This works for me, just tried it on Windows 8 Pro X64. How to Activate GodMode in Windows 7

What I can't do is make a Toolbar from it. Doesn't like the name

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

The closest I can get it to create another folder and place GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} in it as the only subfolder. Then make a new Toolbar pointing to the folder GodMode is in.

I tried that and it works in my 8.0, but that toolbar is just one huge vertical list that goes way off the screen, so you have to scroll up and down like crazy. I like it better grouped into cascading subfolders so it all fits on the screen with no scrolling. But I can't find any way to make a toolbar of that kind for the GodMode thing, probably because it's a special kind of folder.

On the toolbar, click the expansion arrows then double click the flyout and you're in!

Edwin, please explain HOW you created the GodMode toolbar. I can get the folder but can't make a toolbar from it. That's the part I/we need.

Also don't understand what this means:

On the toolbar, click the expansion arrows then double click the flyout and you're in!

Click the little arrow on your taskbar to open the toolbar.
Then, for any folder in it, you can double-click to open that folder in a window, or just hover on it to "cascade" to its contents.
I gather that's what he means.

I don't know how he made the toolbar, but it works if you put that GodMode folder
inside another folder and then make a toolbar from that one.

BTW, when you create the GodMode folder you don't have to call it GodMode.
You can give it any name you want as long as the ".{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" follows the name.

Thanks for suggestions. I tried GodMode folder inside another folder, yes it works, but as Dragon Drop said "bit crazy". So Brink have time consuming solution, but it is really what I want.

I just added 'All Tasks' (same as godmode) to my System toolbar where I keep the most used shortcuts. From there I can open the whole All Tasks folder.

I think you don't want to overload the toolbar if you still want to find stuff quickly.

Zuu (and Shawn), thanks. That works very well.

How did you generate the All Tasks folder?
