    task scheduler error>0x800710E0


    The operator or administrator has refused the request 0x800710E0

    i get this error in the description and what i am trying to do is create a alarm that opens a mp4 file at the time it's set

    so that i can wake up but i didn't it wake up The computer did but the file didn't open

    my operating system is w8.1 pro 64bit

    I can't see what you are running. But did you set it to Run As Administrator?

    Windows 8.0 x64


    Try setting the default player for .mp4 to Run As Administrator. You can right click on the exe file, select Compatibility Tab, click Run As Administrator. For example the player might be vlc.exe.

    and yes i set it to run as admin and player i am using is media player classic/MPC

    Have you run any malware scans? I recommend Malwarebytes anti-malware free

    I found a hit on that error msg where malware cleanup fixed it. So worth a try.
