    I just stumbled upon this list of W8 shell commands:
    Shell Commands in Windows 8

    As example you can enter this in the Run line to open Quick Launch folder:
    shell:Quick Launch

    Actually, that would be shell:Quick Launch for Quick Launch instead though.

    Thanks for pointing that out. Don't now how I typed that in.
    I edited the post to reflect the info.

    Edit: I see. Quick Launch was part of the path so it was a search hit.

    God Mode is perfectly safe, it's not a hack. It's just something that MS hid from users and didn't intend for people to find.

    I have used it before , I didn't mean it wasn't safe ,just saying the trouble a average/novice use could get them self's into making changes with some of the stuff that shows up in god mode ,

Solved Classic shell in Software and Apps
I just updated to windows 8.1 and cannot get the classic shell to work. I have downloaded it but was not asked which form I wanted and so far there is no start button. I cannot find the program anywhere. Also I cannot get avast to open. Is this another glitch in windows?
