I KNOW your pc is working according to specs thats why you have no sound. There have been a number of occasions when the best method of fixing something wrong isa to remove it and rely on Windows to fix, its usually works. Mine are purely suggestions and as they worked for me, they just might have worked for you.

So I start looking at where my speakers are plugged and and I tried a different port and I had sound.

I also wanted to ask why when I got to this site my posts are not there? The only way that I can post is by clicking on the link in the email that I am sent. No a biggie, just curious more than anything.

I appreciate everybody's help in this matter of trying to get me sound back. Again thanks

    Hello Chuck,

If you reply to the notification email instead of posting here, then it will not be posted.

If you are logged in to the site, then you should be able to go to your thread here and post. You could click on the My Posts link in the toolbar at the top of the site to see all of your posts.

    Hope this helps.

Whilst it is a solution; it is not a remedy. The problem is there.

Or should that be the other way around !!

For the first time I am using quick reply and this is how:

When I opened the forum, the reply box is unavailable, and I could not post either. whilst the relevant page is on the screen, on the screen I clicked with the right key on my mouse and selected 'reload' - the page reloaded and I could post. I dont know however if its relevant but I am using a microsoft wireless mobile mouse 4000

As test, see how it works while using Google Public DNS to see if it may be an issue with your ISP's DNS server.
