O.K. i am trying to figure out if there is a way to add an app to the start screen, but i want to add it to the all apps view screen, not the main start screen in Windows 8.1 this i know how to do, it's pin to start screen.

What happened is an installed program does not show up in the ALL Apps view of the Start Screen.
Is there a way to add it there? I only find info on how to add it to the main start screen, not in all apps view.

Tried reinstalling the program,no success ,so if anybody knows how, much appreciated,ty.

Once you installed a program, it should show up in All Apps automatically. At least that's what it does by me.

Normally a program should automatically show up in Apps when installed, but it may be a program that's not completely compatible with Windows 8.1 or not very well written, and may need to be manually added to Apps. :(

Thanks for the Reply, yes most of my programs do get put into all apps screen when installed, but this one did not.
I think as like Brink said it might be because it's an older program and compatibility with Windows 8.1,causing it not to work.

Amazing all research on internet all they can answer to it was how to unpin and pin an app to start screen, not the all apps screen.Hard to word it right on internet, why i came here.

Brink i sort of figured this was the way to do it,i did try it somewhat before i posted this thread but it did not work.
Let me give it another try from your tutorial i will let you know,ty.

O.k. it worked by putting the group folder with shortcut in it here:C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
Tried this the other day before this post and did not work, but this time i had to reboot then it worked.

This shortcut that wasn't added till i did this was a Game, when i installed a game in past it made a group folder called games with that games shortcut in it.

Should this be the way this game should of been,if so how can i make it this way or does it matter?
Could be because it's an older game and a compatibility issue.

I see this folder in here,is this where it might need to go? C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\GameExplorer

Well if not, it works fine way tutorial showed anyway. Thanks

You could put the shortcut in the Games Explorer folder if you like, but I'm not sure that it would show on your Apps screen.
