    Secure Boot Watermark

Hi Guys, don't know if anyone else has noticed this but if you remember when I updated to 8.1 it gave me the Watermark in the bottom corner about SecureBoot not being configured correctly.

Now I don't know when it happened and I've only noticed in the last couple days that Watermark has gone.

I don't know if any of the updates since have done it, any ideas ?

    Hello Joan,

If you didn't install the update that Ray posted above, then you may have enabled and configured Secure Boot since then.

Or, (and I realise this might be stretching your credulity somewhat here) it may be the first time you rebooted. I have an old legacy system and it stayed until my first reboot. In my case it was only a matter of minutes after installing though rather than weeks but you never know...

It wouldn't be that Adam, all my machines are completely shut down each night and booted fresh each morning, or late morning in the case of the 8.1 machine.

Right I will go look at my update history and see if that is installed, it probably is because I take all the monthly updates that are offered on here. I'll be back soon.

Hi Shawn, I think it will probably be down to the update as I've not been into the Tutorials or touched the BIOS. When it first happened I sent an email off to Asus about it and they wrote back to tell me they and Microsoft knew about it and they would let me know when they had a solution, I haven't heard back from them so maybe Microsoft came up with the solution before the manufacturer. I'll be back soon with the results of my search, thanks for the link.

Hi Ray, this is obviously what sorted it out as I have the update, it was a successful install on the 13th November. Funny though that I never even noticed the Watermark had gone, but then it's not as if I sat staring at the Desktop.

    Thank you for the link.
