Solved Locked out due to different language on login screen

Hello,

Today I changed my language options and happened to come across a BSOD.
When I restarted, I found out that the input language for my password has also been changed, and my usual key combination for changing languages does not work. Thus, I cannot enter my password to change my language back to English.
Could you please help me find a way to change the input language on the login screen please?

Hello Deliagwath, and welcome to Eight Forums.

You might see if you may be able to do a system restore at boot using a restore point (if available) dated before this happened to hopefully undo it so that you are able to sign in.

Thank you for your reply.

Luckily the system automatically created a restore point a few days ago while installing Direct X.
hopefully after it has finished restoring I will be able to log on.

If you don't mind me asking, how we would circumvent this problem if there was no restore point? Or if the restore point was created after the problem had occurred?

I encountered a strange... Error perhaps? After logging in where the desktop was black and nothing was shown on the start bar, but it was easily remedied by pressing the windows key twice.

I'm glad to hear that you got it sorted.

It could have been a delay after the restore before explorer loaded.

If you didn't have a restore point, then it would not have been such an easy issue to try and fix. You could have been looking at having to refresh Windows.

I just installed Persian language into an HP Pavilion, and man it makes the whole Display backward! And the Persian KB cannot be used to log in, but all you need do is hit the Windows Key + Spacebar, to switch keyboards.
