currently in windows 8.1 i have it setup to show libraries. (usually i dont have "This PC" enabled i do for one reason though, the "documents" folder under "libraries" is being weird on me today.
as you can see, it says ">text docs (47)" and showing the directories etc.. i don't know if thats a bug or something but i can't seem to get rid of it. i've tried resetting to default libraries and it didn't do anything. i want it to look like the documents folder in "This PC". which ill post below. thanks for the help.
Okay, never mind. Something else seems to be wrong here as well. Whenever I move a folder into This PC's Documents folder, the folder stays how it is. But after I move it, if I go and look in the Documents folder under Libraries, it's as if the folder has been emptied (but the folder still has all of the files as well). I'll show a picture of This PC's Documents folder, and Libraries Documents folder.
This PC:
Documents under Libraries:
In the picture above, not only did it empty the folder into my documents, the "Text Docs" folder is still full with all of the files you see above. From what I know they are shared folders, as I tried to delete the .txt docs in the picture above, and I went to go check the Documents folder under This PC and it was empty.
I'm new to windows 8.1 so I'll just leave it alone until I get a response from one of the pros here on 8forums. Thanks for the help.
One is your "C:\Users\(user-name)\Documents" folder.
The other is your Documents library. By default, the library has other folders added to it other than just your "C:\Users\(user-name)\Documents" folder. Double check to see what folders are added to the library to see if the files actually are in one of the other added folders.
