Solved "Windows Presentation Foundation Host" opens with Chrome

I accidentally set "Windows Presentation Foundation Host" to default open in Google Chrome, I don't know why I did. I was experimenting, I guess. I don't know how to fix it.

Windows Presentation Foundation Host is an XAML file. I don't know a whole lot about how computers and their files work, but I know a little like how to navigate with task manager, file explorer, control panel, etc.

Any help will be appreciated, thank you for your time and efforts. :)

Hello Sean, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Not sure how you did that, but you should be able to do a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before you did to undo and fix this.

Hope this helps, :)
Shawn

The backstory

So I downloaded a Windows 8 app called "Sequencer", an app that lets you create and edit tracks using instruments and such, and you are able to save and load using :winkey: key + z. Occasionally, it would crash and I would lose all of my data for the app, saved tracks and stuff. So I uninstalled. This happened several times more, as I would download it later out of boredom of my current apps. I opened task manager one day, went to sequencer, opened file location. I copied and pasted all of the files from the app into a backup folder I made, to try and experiment to see if replacing all of the files in the app after it crashes will bring my saved tracks back (DON'T worry, aside the point, I haven't tried replacing them yet). In the file location, I was trying to view the SaveSequencePage, apparently a windows markup file (which I don't know what is, I might Google it). it said Open with... so I clicked "Windows Presentation Foundation Host". It said "How would you like to open this file?" So then I clicked Google Chrome, and the check-box for "Use this for all 'whatever (forgot the abbreviation)' files". It only did the second part once, so now I don't know how to fix it.
HERE's where I need help.

Thanks in advance! :)

ps. I don't know how setting the default program to open Windows Presentation Foundation Host will affect my computer, so far nothing bad has occurred (that I know of)

Screenshot (37).pngSo the file I was trying to open is an XAML file, I didn't see that in the above list... But really, I think I am trying to restore the default program of "Windows Presentation Foundation Host". Remember, I selected that to open with Google Chrome, it wasn't a the factory default.

So here's what happens after you click Open with > Windows Presentation Foundation Host. It opens in Google Chrome, and asks me if I want to save the same file again.
