They don't seem to be as easy to find as win7 isos, but it still isn't very difficult. No idea why MS thinks it is a good idea to leave their customers having to go hunt on the interweb thingy.

Good opportunirty to get off the nasty win 8x stuff and install win 7 instead.

Yeah windows 7 iso is so easy to find but not windows 8. I don't want to install windows 7 as I don't have the key for it. My computer came with windows 8 :/ and I can't do the retail download from microsoft because mine isn't a retail key but an OEM key from lenovo.

I know I'm beating a dead horse here, or so it seems, but what is wrong with creating a Recovery flash drive that you can use to reload the system if necessary?

I haven't tried it but you might be able to create an ISO from it using ImgBurn then burn a 3 disc DVD Recovery set. The flash drive I created is about 11GB (2.7GB free of 14.9GB).

Also, where on the Lenovo site does it talk about ordering a Windows 8 Recovery disc? I looked and I don't see it. I have a IdeaCenter K450.

I called them like 5 months ago and I remember them asking me to pay a fee for a recovery disc around $50 and I was like no way. Support phone list

As long as I can remember, the first thing to do after getting a new PC all set up the way you want it is.......

to burn a set of backup DVD's, (or, do a backup to an external hard drive) so that if something goes wrong, you can just do a restore and be right back in business again. It's important to have the Backup/Restore program on a Bootable Media.

I've done that for myself, many times, and I always try to do that for my customers.

The number of FREE programs that can do that is not endless, but many. I still use a program that was written in 1997, in New Zealand. Some of you, I know, have heard of it. It's simply called "Ghost". I use Ghost 11.5, the last DOS version written that can run from a DOS boot disk and backup Windows 7 and later OS's.* With it, I can even back up a HD partition that cannot even boot the PC. I've used that technique several times to preserve data on a PC where the OS is hopelessly damaged.
    * I've been told it will also back up Linux.

There's NO replacement for a good Backup! (no matter what program you use)

    Happy New Year Everyone!

As Windows was pre installed on your system that makes it an OEM version. The Windows 8/8.1 ISO download you linked to will not accept OEM keys. It's a shame really as it seems to me that those are the users that need the ISO the most. OEM Windows 8 PC's have the Product Key embedded in the BIOS. In most cases you won't see it listed anywhere, not even on the COA sticker. I guess Microsoft and the OEM's just assumed you would never need to know it. Official Windows 8 install media reads it out automatically. Unfortunately, Windows 8.1 install media ignores it as it wants an 8.1 key for install. That's creating problems for people who want to do what you want to do. You can activate 8.1 with an 8.0 key, you just can't install with it. And as I already mentioned, if you have an OEM key you can't get the ISO anyway. Not from official sources anyway. Do you know anybody with a retail version that can download the ISO for you? Their version will have to match yours Core or Pro.
