    Search FILES only?

    Windows 8.1 upgrade. VERY disappointed.

The "universal" search sucks. Control panel -disabled BING. But when I return to the search screen, and start typing, the default remains EVERYTHING. This excludes a lot of the paths FILES looks under.

Is there any way for Win 8.1 to default your search to FILES (not Everything, which excludes a lot of your index locations)?

I use a small program called Everything for locating files. Instant results. Uses very little system resources.

Beats anything else I've ever tried for locating files on any drive on your computer.

David, I realize you can select the down arrow then FILES. But is there a way to set FILES as the Windows default search so you dont have to change it with every search?
