Believe it or not - at least for the moment - I'm down to only one Event Log Error in W8.1. The DistributedCom Event ID 10016 appears to be some sort of Permission problem. I have Googled/Binged this Error and have a couple of threads that tell you how to make it go away. However, the threads assume you are fairly aware of all the obvious stuff in Windows concerning Permissions. I'm not! Is there a detailed screen shot by screen shot procedure out there for people like me? If not, since this seems to be a pretty common problem, could one of the experts on this site please give me some step by step help using the information in the screen shot I have attached. Thanks. Others might find this helpful too.

Do you see any relation to the errors and when the system comes out of sleep or boots?

I am showing the same errors, and so far I am assuming it is related to a temporary problem during those times.

EDIT: I should add, I am also getting 10010 errors related to SkyDrive, which I do not use and as far as I know, never set up.

I only seem to get the Error posted 3-4 minutes after I boot the system.

I had already decided to pretty much decided to ignore my error since it seems to be a timing/network startup type of thing. But I will try running without the Windows 8 Fast Startup for a while and will post back if it makes any difference.

I get that error from time-to-time and since it affects nothing, I just ignore it when it pops up. I think you might be better served to do the same with this one.
