Old folders from 2012 with random numbers and letters?

HI all can i delete these old folders from 2012 i posted a picture there are others with random numbers and letters as well that are not folders, they appear to have a windows KB file in theme are they safe to delete ??? here is a picture of them thanks all.

Those are left over from MS updates, if you had Windows 7 thats where they came from. You can just delete em, check inside anyway to make sure, but I'm sure you will see a KB installer.

ok cool i will eradicate them there is a KB installer in them, what about the ones that are not folders safe to delete?

Make a system restore point & delete them.
If problems popup use the restore point to fix them.

It's always a good idea to make a restore point when deleting stuff you are unfamiliar with, after a while you'll know when it is safe not to.

yeah i tried to delete the no folder ones and it would not let me but i did get the other folders removed but i forgot a restor point, but they were just old KB installer in each one of those so not a big deal.

If you have folders or files that will not delete, use File Assassin or Unlocker to delete them:

Malwarebytes : Remove any locked file with FileASSASSIN

Download Unlocker - MajorGeeks

Those 2 tray files may be from a virus, I would try to open them with Notepad, just drag them into notepad and take a look at what's there.

i looked at them with notepad and nothing but korean or chinese writing

Use Unlocker, get rid of em.
