I ended up messing the MBR using HDHacker tool accidently. After removing Linux , I was trying to set the MBR back to what is was before using HDHacker tool.
It showed, on Hard drive 0, sector 1 had error message, sector 2, 3,4 had some values while 5 and beyond had 0s.
So I copied sector 2- 5 and over wrote to sector 1-4, thus deleting the sector 1 and overwritting with 2 and so forth.

I did save sector 1- 5 as a file , as allowed by the tool.

After restarting the windows, it failed to load, saying Boot Device not found.
I understand I am totally doomed.

Just wondering if there is a way to solve this problem. I do not have windows repair or re-install disc, nor the product key to download iso file form microsoft. None did come with the purchase of the laptop.

Any help would be appreciated a bunch.
Thanks.

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.

I personally DO NOT RECOMMEND using this METHOD above, as of the ERRORS you may receive below with the Microsoft Recovery USB Drive. You would be best off using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery DVD's or Recovery USB drive.

I would recommend you making the OEM manufacturer's Recovery DVD's or USB drive.
Windows 8 - Create a Factory Default Backup - Acer Recovery Management - YouTube
Windows 8 - Create a Drivers and Applications Backup - Acer Recovery Management - YouTube

or
You can order the Microsoft official OEM Recovery disks from the OEM manufacturer's website.

The Windows Recovery USB drive & Recovery Partition can be very problematic, I recommend you also make a Windows System Image.

You are not doomed:dinesh:
see suggestions above, what I might suggest is create a paragon disk/usb utility , then boot your sys and check drive letters. I too had a trip figuring a mess such like yours.
I found out somehow drive letters changes, my C drive became D or some bs like that. So get in with a utility drive, check letters, fix boot or whatever is necessary
