[win8.1] Sign in the computer gets blinking screen !!!

Screen shot My monitor is 1600 x 900 (14-inch laptop) When I install the Graphic driver And windows8.1 recommended size is Medium Which was 125% by default !

When I change to smaller 100% then the problem cause Blinking screen(get black 0.5 secs) every time sign in the PC .

but if I use recommend size on win8.1 default 125% the issue goes away! PFFFF

any same issue ? any idea how to change 100% as default!

PS : [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop] LogPixels =96 (your PC may not have this value) deleted not working.

    Thanks !

It certainly sounds like a driver related issue to me; however, we'll need your system specs to see if this mystery can be unraveled.

OK you can see my System Specs Now ... but I don't think this is the driver problem or related..

cause before upgrade to win8.1 , the windows 8 works just great for me .
again why my windows8 is Smaller 100% (default ) and win8.1 gets wrong detected .

    Thanks

OK. Then I will not be of any use to you because I do think it is driver related. Good luck.

Ugonier, I'm going crazy, I did a clean install of windows 8.1, installed just my graphics drivers and the flickering is still there when I change to 100%... This is so stupid. Have you found a solution?

PS: Also, after changing to 100%, 125%, ticking the box to change scaling for all displays, etc. and changing BACK to 125% (Recommended), the flickering IS STILL THERE! argh!!! This is insane!

    Help!

    Windows 7 x64

Hi! I had exactly the same problem for a long time which was pretty annoying but I have found the solution at last. I have Windows 7 SP1 x64 but I believe this will work also with Win 8.

If you set your DPI to %125 then you should do the same thing to your login screen. Login screen's DPI is %100 as default.

To do this, open Regedit (Start, run then type regedit) then navigate to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop and add a DWORD value (right click, new, DWORD Value). Call it LogPixels and set the base to decimal.

Now, you can insert a DPI into the value field for the corresponding DPI. %100 DPI is 96, %125 is 120, %150 is 144. So you should insert 120 if your system's DPI is %125. I use 120 as well because my DPI is too set to %125.

    I hope this will help!
